Go Native Heads Christmas Hurdle Entries

22nd December 2009

WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle winner Go Native heads nine entries for the Christmas Hurdle, second leg of the WBX Hurdling Triple Crown.

The WBX Hurdling Triple Crown once again takes in the three Grade 1 2m hurdle races run in Britain each season: The WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle, Christmas Hurdle at Kempton and Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. Any horse that wins these three races in the same season will land connections a £1 million bonus.

The £1 million bonus for winning the WBX Hurdling Triple Crown would see £700,000 awarded to Go Native’s owners the Docado Syndicate, £150,000 to trainer Noel Meade, £100,000 to the responsible stable lad or lass and £50,000 to the remainder of the team at Tu Va.

Go Native is due to face Binocular on Boxing Day who he beat comfortably in the WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle on November 28th.

Iain Turner, PR and Sponsorship Manager for World Bet Exchange said, “I am delighted to see Go Native entered for the second leg of the WBX Hurdling Triple Crown at Kempton on Boxing Day.

However, I wish the race was shaping up to be a bit easier for him to give connections the best chance of winning the WBX Hurdling Triple Crown. In opposition he could have last season’s Champion Hurdle runner-up, the top rated hurdler in Britain and the fourth from last season’s Triumph!

Noel Meade has documented Go Native’s progress since Newcastle and preparations for Kempton via his blog on www.wbxtriplecrown.com. All seems have gone well following the WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle and fingers crossed we could be celebrating, for the first time, a winner of the first two legs of the WBX Hurdling Triple Crown.”
