Newcastle Racecourse Ground Update

With WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle day fast approaching I couldn't be happier with the current condition of the ground here at Newcastle, reports James Armstrong, Clerk of the Course.

On the hurdle course, where the Grade 1 feature will be run a week on Saturday, the going is currently Good to Soft. There are patches of Soft ground in the back straight while there are areas of Good ground in the final 3 furlongs.

Were the WBX.COM Fighting Fifth Hurdle staged today then it would take place on perfect jumping ground and I’m sure connections of all the initial 25 entries would be delighted with underfoot conditions here at the track.
